Douliana villas offer a variety of accommodation types to choose from. Depending on the size of your family or group, you can choose from one bedroom apartments, two bedroom semidetached villas, two bedroom detached villas, three bedroom detached villas or four bedroom detached villas.
All our exquisite apartments share a spacious pool and offer pleasant views to the sea and the green surroundings of the village. Some villas share a pool and garden, while an exclusive 4 bedroom villa with private pool and garden is waiting to cater your every need and make you feel like home.
The villas are furnished carefully with respect to the area’s tradition, but at the same time maintaining a high standard of living with the numerous amenities offered in each and every one of them.
Each living room is equipped with a dining table and chairs, sofa and arm chairs. TV furniture equipped with an LCD TV and a DVD Player. A small bookcase with international books.
The kitchen is equipped with electric oven, refrigerator with freezer, micro oven.
The bedroom or bedrooms have double or single bed/s, bed side table/s and fitted first-class wardrobes.
The pool and garden areas and some verandas are equipped with comfortable sun beds, sun umbrellas, tables & chairs.
There is an eco-friendly A/C in all rooms, fireplaces in all living rooms, electric water heaters and water pumps in every house, as well as a traditional outdoor BBQ & stone oven.

Douliana is a traditionally preserved community situated on a hill overlooking Souda Bay. Around the village you can find natural surroundings of extreme beauty, including enormous cypresses and oaks. Douliana has been a popular place of residence and a prosperous community since the 18th century, and it has maintained its character more than any other community in the area. This is mainly due to the local population taking great care in preserving the historical monuments and traditional buildings of the community. As a result, the long history of both the Apokoronas region and the island of Crete are apparent and reflected throughout the settlement. This is also one of the main reasons – other than the weather and natural beauty, of course – for which numerous foreigners have chosen to live permanently in the village during the last decade.

In Douliana you can find two traditional orthodox churches, which are both monuments of the 19th century, with remarkable Byzantine icons and beautiful architecture, the village’s coffee shop (“kafenio” in Greek) at the central square and a fine taverna with authentic delicious Cretan dishes, all prepared using fresh, local products. Although the village is atop of a hill, the nearest beach is just 2 km away. By car, you can reach the stunning beaches of Apokoronas in less than 10 minutes. The distance to Chania city is 20km, to the port of Souda also 20km, and to the airport 30km. You can reach all of the above in 20-30 minutes’ time.

Vrisses village can be described as a typical Cretan village, but with something not so typical of an island: the vast amounts of running water, which are the reason for the rich vegetation in the area – and also the reason why, in a hot summer day, Vrisses is an ideal hideaway.
